Online Requal - Instructions (DEADLINE APPROACHING 31st December 2015)

ATTN:  All Patrolling Members

As most of you know, this year the theory component of requals is being done on line.  This is keeping in line with SLS recommendations.  Below are some instructions to enable you to complete the theory component.  Note due to many SLS organisations closing for the Xmas break, please try and complete prior to 23/12/15

STEP 1 -

All members are required to set up a SLSA Members Portal account this year (this is separate to your SLS login of previous years)

- Google SLSA Members Portal

- Follow link to CREATE NEW PORTAL A/C or LOGIN WITH YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD

Once in your Portal, you can view all your entered patrol hours and personal information so keep the password and username in a safe spot for future reference.

STEP 2 -

To complete Theory Requals -

- From the Home page, select Livesaving Online Tab (at top)

- Select Courses tab

- Select Go to Online Learning Now (loads learning platform)

- Select All My Learning Tab, lists courses

- Skills Maintenance Section contains courses required to be completed

- Complete Radio, Signals and CPR courses if bronze holder

- you will also need to complete Powercraft component if IRB trained.

Once you have successfully completed the course the little box on the left hand side will show as green.

STEP 3 -

When completed, please email Andrea Lloyd your course Certificates so she can sign you off.

Certificates are accessed under the Personal Learning Plan tab (up top near your name)

- Select drop down arrow, select Certificates, in Completion Certificates select course and print.

You can send saved Certificates to Andrea or print and hand to her or Leisa.  Andrea's email address is andreaclarke16@hotmail.com

Vale Gary Hawksford

Shelly Beach Surf Life Saving Club sends their sincere condolences to the family of Gary Hawksford. Gary had been a member of Shelly Beach Surf Life Saving Club since 1997 and held office for many years assisting the Club and their members for many years not only on the beach but behind the scenes with administration. Gary continued to support the Club as their insurance broker and advisor and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
